RAMSEUR, N.C. — Sheriff’s deputies in North Carolina arrested 73 people on Saturday in what they called the largest cockfighting bust in county history.
Deputies received a tip that led them to a large-scale cockfighting ring in Ramseur, N.C., local television station WXII reported.”This is the largest in Randolph County that I know of and maybe in North Carolina,” Sheriff Maynard Reid said. “This was a huge operation.”
