It appears that Google has blocked ‘climategate’ or any variation of the phrase from its auto-suggest feature (not from its search engine). The same is true for Youtube and all other google-owned sites I have queried.
It’s the first auto-suggest phrase on Yahoo, Bing, Dogpile, WebCrawler, Ask.com, and any other search engine that is not associated with Google.

Not fixed for me. I’ve heard there are different behaviours for different domains. google.com routes to google.ca, and auto-suggest does not show climategate.
I then switched to bing since its auto-suggest did show climategate. But now it too doesn’t show climategate. As far as I can tell that can only be explained by it being explicitly removed.

Bing isn’t doing it at all as of today;
Google shows ~ 20 M hits, whereas bing > 50 M
also (saturday night, I saw over 200 M on google, then it disappeared, never to return)
googlegate alone has on google over 70 M
(even tho it did exist before, still seems unlikely its that low, it had been over 30 M last week, really would have dropped to 20 M while bing remained steady?
it’s more blocking going on than just the “suggest” function, it seems to me
thanks
