During a recent appearance before the Georgia Christian Alliance, Deal pressed forward with his offensive claims that President Obama was born in Kenya, telling the audience that he wants Obama to produce “authentic documentation,” to put the issue of his citizenship “to rest.” But it’s only an issue with certain anti-Obama individuals whom are—-How can this be put delicately?—Crazy as hoot owls.
When asked about the letter he sent to the President of the United States demanding proof of citizenship, Deal responded in typical Glenn Beck style. He responded that he was just asking the question, on behalf of his constituents. And he denied that his anti-Obama birther campaign was an attack on the president’s “legitimacy to serve.” But Deal, who once derided elderly minorities without birth certificates, as “ghetto grandmothers,” is still demanding that Obama show Deal his birth certificate:
